Doing these together. (:

The only picture I have of myself little on a computer. I was two, I guess. [We had that couch until I was like 11. XD]
And here I am 16 years later.

Day 09 → A photo you took
Photobucket

I've got a ton of photos that are way better photography wise than this, but I totally love this one
Poor Tristan's too little to get his head over the fence so far. Which I find terribly cute. I love them little. <3
He's doing great, btw. Haven't done much training because it's freezing, but he's doing great with what we have been doing.
When we came home the other day he was actually out in the pasture with the 'big horses'. He jumped the fence, which was obvious because the gates were shut and the other foal still in their pen. Thankfully the other horses were very nice to him, and he hasn't done it since. Maybe he's trying to tell me he wants to be a jumper in the future? XD

As for everything else...it's going pretty good. The weekend was pretty fun, and today was the Christmas parade was a total blast. The rest of my time has been spent studying for my ACT's this Saturday and avoiding the super cold weather. And right now it's like two am and I stayed up till midnight talking to my best friend and then took a shower and studied for an hour, so I'm exhausted and falling asleep in front of my computer.

OH, and thank you so much to
[info]realynn8 & [info]24_amends for the snowflakes! <3

Allright, LJ cuts still hate me. Anyway favorite quote:

"I think of myself as more of a lover rather than a fighter, but sometimes you have to fight for what you love." - Jon Foreman.

I have lot's of favorites, not really one favorite. I think this one is very true though, and I think it's generally my view on life.

I'm waiting up to watch Conan so I can see Switchfoot perform. Late shows need to put singers on first, not last.

July's sort of better. Still kind of swollen, but it's gone down a lot. And now of course it's cold and raining and will be for a while. Have no idea when I'll actually get to ride again. I miss it!

I went Christmas shopping today. (: I love Christmas shopping. I got birthday and Christmas presents for my Dad [his birthday is right before C-mas] and some stuff for my mom, along with a few things for other people. I have to get my brother's, but I'm just getting him a gift card, so no rush. It's nice having it done, but I'll probably end up going and getting my stuff. I love Christmas shopping. I also got some boots, finally. I love boots. Best trend.

We also put up the Christmas tree today! It's just a little tree, beacuse we don't really have room, and we didn't feel like digging everything out. We also could only find one little string of lights, so there's like five little lights on it that you can see. XD But it's loaded with ornaments, and I think it looks reallly cute.
Photobucket
It's a bit hard to see, but all the ornaments are silver or teal.

While I'm talking about Christmas, I'm a parade Monday. With 4H teen leaders. We did it last year...though Rendi and I were the only ones that showed up, and it as freezing. This year we're taking ornaments to the nursing home, and then we're going to be on a float in the parade [we also got to walk last year] but I'm actually really looking forward to it. I think it will be fun.

Is it just me that LJ cuts are not working for whatsoever? I've tired the last two days, and they just aren't showing up. So I apologize in advance for too big pictures/videos. :/

Anyway, my favorite book. This one is pretty easy. There's tons of books I love, but this is probably my favorite.

Photobucket
I love Nicholas Sparks in general, but I seriously think this is his best book. It covers everything, being a teenager, growing up, family, love, loss, etc, and it's all an amazing story. I loved the characters in it, especially Will and Ronnie. There's also a movie...

Which i'm kind of disappointed in. It looks very true to story, but I just can't get over Miley Cryus being in it. It's not even that I don't like her [though it is a part of it] I just honestly can't imagine her as Ronnie. She's not what I pictured at all, and I really don't see Miley Cryus having the maturity that Ronnie has at the end of the book. But I'm probably going to see it anyway, because I did love the book that much.

I don't think I can pick a favorite! Up until this year I totally would have answered LOST, because it's epic and wonderful, but Glee and Vampire Diaries are pretty epic and wonderful too. XD VD is pretty amazing though. And the bonus of the hottest guys ever. I also really love Monk...which is ending this week. :/

Another hard one. I have a ton of favorites. It would probably be either A Walk To Remember or The Time Traveler's Wife. I watched A Walk To Remember just because I knew there were a lot of Switchfoot songs in it, and I was bored so I figured why not, and I completely loved it. It's one of the only two movies I have ever cried during. XD And The Time Traveler's Wife was really good. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD so I can watch it again.

My bestie made this for me this week. I completely love it. <3

I have watched so many movies in the past four days. It'll be nice to be back to 'real life' tomorrow, and to actually do something productive. I did watch New Moon last night. I'll post a review eventually.

So July's lame. :/ [btw lame as in limping/hurt not as in...lame.] I was going to finally ride him since his face is healed up, and I was trotting him in hand, and he felt really off, so I had my Mom watch him and yep, he was lame. Then yesterday his front leg is really swollen. And it's still swollen today. I don't know what he did, or what's wrong. I've been hosing it off with cold water, but it doesn't seem to be getting a whole lot better...

Favorite song. This is actually really hard for me. I have so many, and my actual favorite changes all the time. Right now I guess I would end up choosing... Brick By Boring Brick by Paramore. Or Playing God by Paramore. I can probaly relate to Playing God more, but I really love BBBB.

Yesterday was nice. Boring. I watched the Macy's Parade, but I didn't really play much attention. The only singers I regonized were Boys Like Girls and Billy Currington. I mostly watched the commericals, because I love Christmas commericals. XD Eric came over, and we all ate dinner early because he works at Toys R Us and had to be there at 11. And my Dad was going to hockey game with Des's Dad, so he was going to be leaving early as well. Having Eric around was mostly annoying, lol. You think I would miss him since I rarely see him. Yeah. Not really. He was throwing markers at me and snooping around my computer. Not cool. He did come down and see the foals though, and they were laying down when we went out, which was completely adorable. A horse is ten times cuter laying down. Especially a foal. The other horses came over too, and he was looking at them and he pointed at July and asked "who is that?" ...you know, the horse we've only had since June, when he was still living here. Afterwards it was just my Mom and me, so we ate more pie [I love pumpkin pie. so much.] and watched A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and then Our First Christmas.

Today we went to Walmart. We didn't get there till eight. It was pretty much empty. A lot of the advertised sales weren't there, but I did get a pair of jeans for nine bucks [which I have to return because when I got home and tried them on, they didn't have a button. which sucks.] The Lake House DVD [one of my all time favorite movies] for $3. My Mom got two 4GB SD cards [the very last two!] for $8, a digital photoframe for $30, and we also got some ornaments for our tree this year. We pretty much got what we wanted, and we didn't even have to get up that early. Now I guess I'm going to sit around and watch more Christmas movies.

Finally! I was so excited when I saw that it was up. I like it more the more I watch it. I was really surprised at the ending though, lol. Was not expecting that. I'm trying to figure out exactly what the meaning is supposed to be? I have a couple ideas, but idk which one was really intended. Anyway, it's awesome. I'm going to buy it for my ipod when itunes gets it. Or I can find a download. XD

Not a whole lot else going on. I was home alone most of the weekend, except when my brother came home for a little while to use our internet. It was pretty boring. Except when July got stuck in the fence. Yeah. Only him. He was fine though, no cuts for once.

The fandom is expolding with New Moon. Seriously. I dunno if I'll see it in theaters or not. I doubt anyone would want to go with me to see it, so I'm not counting on it. I'll probably just do what I did with Twilight, watch it on youtube and then buy the DVD when it comes out.

I don't think I'm getting the job at Sears, but I'm pretty okay with this. The more time I spent in the store for interviews and just walking around, I think it would seriously drive me insane. So I'm just putting off the job search until after the Holidays. I do have quite a bit of savings, so I can buy Christmas presents and everything, I just have to cut back on the spending on stuff for myself. But this way I can just enjoy the Holidays and worry about all the other stuff later. And I've decided what I'm getting my family at least. Mom - Books. Brother - Giftcard. Probably itunes. Dad - cookies. I'll get them a few other little things, as well as some things for my close friends, so it won't really cost all that much. I can't wait to start shopping!

Speaking of which my Mom and I are going shopping on Black Friday. I've never been, but there are some really amazing sales this year, and I don't know, I think it would be fun to do it. It'll be interesting to see if it's really as bad as people say it is. haha.

I went to the sedation dentist this week. It's really funny, because it's obviously for people with fears, like when you fill out their paperwork there was a question 'on a scale of one to ten how afraid of dentists are you?" when we met with the dentist he said that half of people write down a hundred! XD Anyway, the best part is that they are going to do everything at once and I'm done. And I get to take some valium before hand so I won't even notice the IV and all that. Awesome.
My mom surprised me with a blue cover for my new iPod! And I got Kris Allen and OneRepublic's new CD's. I haven't listened to OneRepublic's yet, but Kris Allen's is really good. I really love Heartless. And the song Lifetime was written by Jon Foreman, lead singer of Switchfoot. I can totally tell he wrote it too.

I'm leaving for the concert pretty soon. (: It's general admisson, so we're going to get there really early [which sucks because it's really fricken cold out!] plus it's over an hour away. SO excited.

We did get July into the vet this morning! It wasn't our usual vet, aka, not the horse one, but that was the one we could get into this morning, and it really needed to be taken care off. The cut was/is infected. He sedated him [horses are so funny drugged. that sounds mean, but it's seriously hilarous.] clipped his hair off his face around it [I'll be honest, that hurt. Thank goodness I don't have any shows till Febuary.] and cleaned it out and fixed it up. Since the cut is a few days old he couldn't stitch it, but it's small enough that it'll be fine without it. He also gave me some powder to put on it for the infection, and some powder for his food to help as well. and he got a tetanus shot. Then we had to wait around until he came out of the sedation enough for us to get him into the trailer. So hopefully now he'll start feeling better. The vet was also super nice and didn't charge us for his time, just for the medicine and shots

-Saturday my family and Des and her family went the AQHA World Show in OKC. I've gone twice before, and this year it was definitely bigger. They had two buildings of shopping instead of just one. But way less stuff in my budget. I ended up just getting a t-shirt and some brown and green reins. Which only come up to the middle of July's neck, aka, I can't really use them. But maybe I'll be able to use them with Sheik or something. Anyway we all had a blast, and afterwards we went to dinner, and had a great time. Pretty much every weekend we end up hanging with Des and/or her family.

-Today we [yes, Des too. lol] went to a playday. Which is barrels racing, pole bending and a flag race, so timed events, but non-competive. Just for fun and pratice. It was rainy and nasty and cold outside, but since it was an indoor arena we went anyway. My Dad decided to go along with us for the first time ever [I went last year, for a month and a half series] and that was pretty annoying. There's a lot of standing around, and I knew that would annoy him, which it did. We heard a lot of complaining, and I really hate that. We're having fun, and yet he's complaining about standing around and not starting on time, etc, when we told him it was going to be like that. He should have at least taken another car. Anyway, I ended up taking Morgan, Des's six year old sister, in the lead-line classes. You lead the little kid on the horse, so it's safe and everything. No one else wanted to run with her, so I did it. It's so cute! She was giggling and cheering and yeah, it was great. July and I did...okay. I ended up doing the entire thing in a halter instead of a bridle, because he's got this cut on his face, and the bridle was rubbing against it, so I took it off and just rode in the halter. It's a lot less control, but he did fantastic in it, so I'm pretty proud of him. Long story short, we had a good time.

-Tomorrow's the Switchfoot concert!! We're going to try to get July into the vet first thing, because of that cut on his face. I'm pretty sure it's infected, and since my parents decided he must have cut it on the fence, he'll need a tetanus shot as well. So hopefully we can get him in. Then we're going quite early so we can hopefully be in the front row! And right now I'm off to watch this week's Vampire Diaries. (:

So Staples called me this morning [woke me up, haha] and wanted to schedule an interview, but they only wanted me to work weekends, mostly Saturdays, and I am not going to be able to work Saturday's. Saturday's I have shows, riding lessons, playdays, etc, and I'm not willing to give that stuff up for a job. This is my last year at home, and this stuff is more important to me. So that's not going to happen. But tonight I applied at Sears, and they had me schedule an interview right away! I have an interview on Tuesday! It's the morning after my Switchfoot concert, which will suck, but I'm excited just to have something promising. Sears was kinda one of my last choices, because the lightening in ours gives me headaches, but it's just till after Christmas. (:

I don't usually do these, but I knew the answer to this one right off the bat.
It would be Nothing Is Sound by Switchfoot. When I got it...well, probably about four or five years ago, it was seriously the only album I listened to for a year and a half. I would start to listen to something else and I just couldn't, I'd end up switching it right back to NIS. I listened to the actual CD of it again [cause this was before I was using mp3s.] the other night in the car, and I listened to it so much I wore it out. It works, but every single song skips, most of them pretty badly. That's the one and only CD I have ever worn out. So yeah, that's definitely the CD I would pick.
